Small Christian Communities are gatherings of small groups of people throughout the parish who wish to share their faith. SCC is an opportunity to connect more intimately with other parishioners and to study Catholic beliefs. These groups generally meet twice a year in homes or on the parish grounds , each time for an eight-week study.
Our next SCC session will be in the fall of 2014. Please check back here or watch the bulletin for the times and registration information.
To purchase the book for the next study, you may buy it from Amazon or let your SCC leader know you want a book.
Customer review on Amazon:
"Barron discusses the Eucharist as sacred meal, as sacrifice, and as the real presence of Christ. We broke our sessions into these three different topics. Even though I have two seminary degrees, it amazes me how Robert Barron adds so much to the knowledge and insights I already have. In discussing the Eucharist as a sacred meal, he talks about how from the very beginning Jesus was born in a manger in the stable, at the place where the animals eat, so from the very beginning he has been associated with a meal, with food. I never heard that connection before."
